This year's SWF Scottish Cup Final will be between Glasgow City and Hibernian after both sides made it through their respective semi finals.
City were 2-0 winners over Rangers in the opening match of the double header of semi finals at Ainslie Park, Scott Booth's side completing a hectic week in which they had previously faced Hibernian in a top of the table clash and Chelsea in the first leg of their UEFA Women's Champions League tie.
The first half was goalless but midway through the second half, City got their noses in front when a good individual run by Clare Shine saw her hold off a strong Rangers challenge before slotting well past Gers keeper Rachael Halbert.
City doubled their advantage and safely booked their place in the Final when the unfortunate Leanne Hughes could do nothing to prevent knocking the ball over her own goal line after a City corner flashed across the six yard area.
The game was followed by the second semi between Hibernian and Celtic and it was Hibs who progressed by also winning 2-0.
Two former Celtic players were to haunt their old clubs on the day, Chloe Arthur giving the Hibees the lead midway through the first half with a great strike and Abigail Harrison wrapped up the win after the break.
The Final, between the two clubs who have dominated matters over the course of the season, will take place at Ainslie Park on Sunday 8th November.
