Sporting Club Albion remain as leaders of the Northern Division after second placed Derby County went down to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford City.
A point would have seen Derby take over at the top and they looked to be on their way when Melissa Johnson and Aimee Perry put them two goals ahead but Bradford hit back to take three important points thanks to goals from Hannah Campbell, Paige Crosby and Danielle Whitham.
Nottingham Forest are just one point off the pace following their 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town. Elizabeta Ejupi and Natasha Meade gave Forest a two-goal lead and although Emily Heckler reduced the arrears on the stroke of half time, Annabel McKechnie wrapped up the points with the third goal just before the hour.
Blackburn Rovers moved up to join the leading pack by beating Guiseley AFC Vixens 5-0. Sophie Jones netted a goal in each half for Rovers whose other strikes came via Saffron Jordan, Natasha Fenton and an own goal.
Midlands Division One
In the only match to be played on Sunday, Birmingham & West Midlands Ladies moved themselves back into the top half of the table by winning 4-2 away to Solihull Ladies. Maimee Morris was on target twice along with Gemma Mooney and Gemma Martin while Solihull, who would have moved into second by avoiding defeat, responded through Naomi Hunter and Carly Davies.
South West Division One
Exeter City made up ground on the leading teams in the division, thanks to a 3-2 success away to Southampton Saints. Catherine Browning and Krystal Whyte twice put the Saints ahead during the course of the first half with Vicky Barter and Corinne Potts equalising on each occasion, before Helen Kukor scored an injury time winner to settle matters in Exeter's favour.
