Hibs in nine-goal blast
 Women's Football News 19 Oct 2015
Hibernian will have to settle for second place in the Scottish Women's Premier League despite running out 9-0 winners over Rangers.
Lizzie Arnot led the scoring for Hibs with a hat-trick, Abi Harrison and Heather Richards each contributed braces and there was one apiece from Lisa Robertson and Chloe Arthur but Glasgow City's victory against Aberdeen brought their remaining title hopes to an end.
Celtic are back in third after a late goal earned them a 3-2 victory over Spartans. The Ghirls went into a two-goal lead during the first half through Ruesha Littlejohn and Joanne Paton but Spartans hit back and were level at half time thanks to Michelle Russell and Alana Marshall. Celtic were to have the last say though and Paton produced a strike from the edge of the area for her second and decisive goal.
Stirling University are set to finish on top of the bottom section following their 3-2 win away to Hearts, which was given to them by goals from Beth McKay, Nicole Pullar and Jill Paterson.
Forfar Farmington's hopes came to an end as they were beaten 1-0 by Hamilton Academical, who move out of the bottom two. Laura Gallen settled matters with the only goal of the game on the stroke of half time.
Inverness City staged a late comeback to grab a 3-3 draw against Hutchison Vale. Hayley Cunningham, Natalie Ross and Lisa MacFarlane scored the goals for Hutchie who led 3-1 at one stage before the home side fought back to earn a share of the spoils.
