Leaders Derby held by Foxes
 Women's Football News 26 Oct 2015

Derby County hold onto to the leadership of the Northern Division despite being held to a goalless draw by Loughborough Foxes on Sunday.

Derby's lead has been trimmed to two points but for the Foxes, the point was a welcome one following their midweek defeat to Nuneaton Town.

Nottingham Forest now head the chasing teams after their 2-0 victory over Nuneaton Town lifted them into second place. Both of the goals came in a seven minute spell leading up to half time, Natasha Meade opening the scoring before Andi Bell weighed in with the second goal.

Blackburn Rovers follow on after beating Huddersfield Town 4-2. Sophie Jones gave Blackburn a first half lead . In the second half Alicia Johnson scored twice and Lynda Shepherd added the other goal, before Emily Heckler grabbed a late consolation for Town.

Stoke City lost a little ground as they went down to a 3-1 defeat at home to Bradford City. After Stoke had taken the lead on the half hour through Kate Asher, Bradford hit back to take the points with strikes from Hannah Campbell, Rosie McDonnell and Sarah Danby.

Preston North End kept themselves in touch with the leading sides by scoring five times without reply away to Newcastle Utd. Lagan Makin and Yasmine Swarbrick ensured that Preston led by two goals at the break and in the second half, Danielle Young and Chelsea Flanagan joined them on the scoresheet before Makin rounded off the win with her second goal.
