Burton Albion took Premier League Radcliffe Olympic all the way to penalties in their SSE Women's FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying tie.
The game was goalless after ninety minutes and extra time could not separate the sides either, the match finishing 1-1 with Demi Croxall netting for the West Midlands League Division One North leaders and an own goal for Radcliffe. After the shootout, it was Radcliffe who emerged as 4-3 winners and they take their place against Peterborough Northern Star in the First Round.
County League interest in the competition is over for another year as AEK Boco were ruthlessly beaten 10-0 by Chichester City, who now face Keynsham Town. The match at Greenbank Road went ahead after two pitch inspections but a rampant Chichester side, spearheaded by the experienced Tammy Waine, proved too strong for their young but valiant opponents. Waine was on target along with doubles from Amy Found, Jenna Fowlie and Shannon Albuery, and the tally was completed by strikes from Becky Barron, Emily Symonds and Chloe Dowdell.
Old Actonians stormed into the First Round by beating Southampton Saints 4-1. Carla Williams led the scoring with a hat-trick and Jessica Byrne adding the other, while Saints' consolation came from Jess Lewry. Old Actonians will be at home to Swindon Town (see match report).
The match between Tranmere Rovers and Steel City Wanderers was postponed for a second time. The two clubs will try again this week with Whitley Bay awaiting the winners.
