Millwall Lionesses are delighted to announce the appointment of Emilie Perry as chairman following a restructuring of the Lionesses, who will now operate under the umbrella of Millwall FC.
Part of the re-organisation will see current Millwall CEO Andy Ambler, Commercial Director Alan Williams, along with Paul Bailes, a parent from the Centre of Excellence, form a new Millwall Lionesses Board of Directors, headed by Perry.
"I am honoured to take on the role of chairman for Millwall Lionesses," she said. "It is an exciting time for the club with a new Board of Directors and increased support from Millwall Football Club; our first focus being the recruitment of our new first team manager ahead of the start of the season."
Lions CEO Andy Ambler said: "We have always worked closely and tried to support the Lionesses, but this restructuring gives us an opportunity to further strengthen our ties and to hopefully lend our areas of expertise and experience to help take them onto the next level."
Perry is clearly relishing the new working relationship with Millwall FC and added: "The Lionesses have stable foundations on which we plan to build, with some fantastic talent coming up through the ranks.
"There will also be fresh attention on the commercial strategy side of the business, for example by increasing our fan base and reach through a more integrated social media platform and further developing our first team ambassador roles, to in-reach into schools and clubs, bringing our fans closer to the club.
"We look forward to an exciting season, where we will ensure our off the pitch processes support and enable the team to aspire to the next level."
