Cardiff Met Ladies have pulled five points clear at the top of the Welsh Premier Women's League table following an emphatic win away to Wrexham.
With nearest rivals Swansea City not playing, Met took the chance to extend their advantage with a 14-1 victory in which Erin Murray was on target five times. Chloe O'Connor and Ellie Sargent both contributed hat-tricks for the free scoring Champions, whose tally was completed by a Georgia Bridges brace and Emily Allen.
Cardiff City FC took the chance to move to within a single point of second placed Swansea, thanks to a 4-1 victory over PILCS. Danielle Green gave City a fourth minute lead, before Shannon Evans added a brace of goals and despite Jassie Vasconcetos pulling one back for the visitors, Evans went on to wrap up the points by completing her hat-trick early in the second half.
Rhyl & Prestatyn climbed into the top half of the table after staging a dramatic comeback from two goals down to beat Newcastle Emlyn 3-2. A goal in each half from Jeanne Lojstrup seemed to have put Newcastle Emlyn on the way towards only their second win of the season but goals in quick succession from Lucy Davies and Ashleigh Mills brought Rhyl & Prestatyn back to level terms, before Laura Williams grabbed a late winner.
MBi Llandudno are off the bottom of the table after battling out a 3-3 draw with fifth placed Port Talbot Town. Katie Bowe's twice gave Llandudno the lead during the first half but on each occasion it was cancelled out by Sian Scannell and Vicky Stratton. Port Talbot then went in front for the first time on the hour, Scannell scoring her second, but Llandudno and Bowe in particular were not to be denied and she secured a point for her side with her hat-trick goal.
