Cardiff City Ladies completed the semi final line up in the Reserve Section League Cup after they defeated Nottingham Forest 1-0, Stephanie Venn scoring the only goal of the game.
Blackburn Rovers were denied an opportunity to take over at the top of the Northern Division when they were beaten 3-1 by Hull City. Tonya Storr netted two of the goals and Amy Knott the other for Hull. Huddersfield Town meanwhile ran out 4-0 winners at Middlesbrough thanks to strikes from Emily Heckler (2), Jessica Holland and Rebecca Sherrard.
In the South Division, Brighton & Hove Albion closed the gap on leaders Tottenham Hotspur to three points by beating Lewes 2-1, goals coming from Hayley Bridge and Molly Towers. Ellie Bloomfield, Kayleigh Tonks and Natasha Stephens were on the scoresheet as Portsmouth won 3-0 away to Southampton Saints. Crystal Palace moved above West Ham Utd after defeating them 2-1, courtesy of a brace from Georgie O'Halloran.
Birmingham City go into the mid-season break on top of the FA WSL Development League Northern Division following their 3-1 win over Manchester City. Keeley Davies hit a hat-trick to see the Blues take over on goal difference from Sunderland, who shared a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa who scored through Mollie Rouse and Zoe Clarke. Sheffield FC rounded off a good first half of the season by winning 2-1 at Liverpool, Nikki Hogg and Katie Anderson netting their goals. Everton and Notts County battled out a goalless draw and in complete contrast, Durham Women won a goal fest 8-4 against Doncaster Rovers Belles.
Arsenal head the Southern Division table by three points after winning 2-1 at Bristol Academy, Chloe Kelly netting both goals with Hayley Ladd replying. Chelsea are up into second after Mahlah Catline (2) and Zoe Cross gave them a 3-1 victory over Yeovil Town. Otesha Charles and Merrick Will were on target as Millwall Lionesses won 2-1 against Oxford Utd.
