London Corinthians v Gillingham
 Women's Football News 5 Dec 2015
SSE Women's FA Cup - Road to the Final
Gillingham ended the Cup run of local rivals Herne Bay when Kallie Balfour scored twice and Ashleigh Loosemore the other to notch up a 3-0 victory. The Gills will be on their travels in the First Round to London Corinthians, who reached this stage by beating Lowestoft Town 8-1. Emily Hart, Hannah Titchener and Hannah Riddoch all bagged braces along with Adele Keech and Danielle Harrison.
London Girls got together with London Boys when they formed at Rutland Walk, Sydenham. Within six weeks, London Girls had over 50 girls of all ages, teams were beginning to form all over the South East. The only league they found they could play in was the Finchley & Hendon League, but by the end of the 1980s they had nearly every age group of girls, then joining the Kent Girls League.
Through the next fifteen years, they had many successful teams, winning leagues and cups in age groups from U10 to U16. Then the club felt they had grown so much that they may be able to try and acquire their own ground, which would have female football only. To which, they moved all their teams to New Eltham. By 2002, London Girls had everything going well with two girls picked for England ladies squads.
London Girls have now slimmed down their teams to where now they have only ladies teams, playing under the name of London Corinthians. The first team are members of the London & South East League Premier Division and have started this season well.
The team is managed by Bill Shaw and Paul Taylor is Coach. Adele Keech is First Team captain while Danielle Harrison and Emily Hart are the team's leading scorers.
