Forest take lead into break
 Women's Football News 21 Dec 2015
Nottingham Forest will sit on top of the Northern Division going into the holiday break following their 3-0 win against Guiseley AFC Vixens.
After a goalless first half, Andi Bell sent Forest on their way by giving them the lead seven minutes after the restart and Jemma White added a second midway through the half. Natasha Meade rounded off the win with the final goal late on to leave her side with a three point lead.
Preston North End made it eight wins in a row in all competitions, a 4-0 success over Newcastle Utd which has taken them into second place. Gemma Watson was on target twice and she was joined on the scoresheet by Chelsea Flanagan and Kim Turner.
Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers met each other in a clash between two of the main title challengers and the honours were shared with a 1-1 draw. Nicola Hudson gave Stoke the lead from the penalty spot, with Blackburn earning themselves a point through a spectacular volley from Saffron Jordan.
