Doncaster Rovers Belles have swooped to clinch the signatures of former Liverpool duo Katrin Omarsdottir and Becky Easton.
Icelandic international midfielder Omarsdottir and former Belles defender Easton both played major roles in helping Liverpool win back-to-back FA WSL 1 titles in 2013 and 2014.
Easton, a former Doncaster captain during 2000-04 and England international with 44 caps, will be combining her playing duties alongside an assistant general manager role with Belles to complement her Master's degree studies in Sport Directorship at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Easton, 41, said: "I'm delighted to be signing for Belles. I spent four extremely happy years with Doncaster previously so I am fully aware of the great history, traditions and values of the club.
"Doncaster Belles has always had a special place in my heart. I've followed their results and kept in touch with people at the club since my time there. It wasn't a difficult decision once I'd spoken to Glen Harris (Belles manager) and heard the plans and ambition of the club."
Omarsdottir, who has over 60 caps for Iceland, told the club's official website she was relishing a new challenge with Doncaster.
"I am very happy to be joining Belles. I've heard a lot of good things about the team and the club that it was a no brainer to come here," said the 28-year-old, who has also played in America and Sweden.
"At first, I just want to gel well with the girls, I want to get to know them and for them to get to know me. In regards to the season, I think that the team is well equipped to do well in the league.
"I am confident that Belles will be successful next year and that we'll be a difficult opponent to play against. I am looking forward to a new challenge, share what I have learned thus far in my career and learn from the likes of Sue Smith and Leandra Little."
On the double swoop, manager Harris said: "What can you say about Becky? She has done just about everything in the women's game but her enthusiasm to continue to play football at the top level is tremendous and brilliant for Belles.
"I am delighted to have Becky on board. She is the ultimate professional, will be great for the dressing room and can help the younger players with her experience.
"Katrin's quality in the middle of the pitch and experience of FA WSL 1 will be vital for us in the forthcoming season. Despite interest from other clubs, we were Katrin's first choice too.
"Katrin is technically excellent and we will be looking to her to influence games for us. Once again this shows the determination of the club to prove ourselves in FA WSL 1 with another high quality signing."
