Cardiff Met Ladies are continuing to power clear at the top of the Welsh Premier Women's League, going eleven points clear with a 9-0 victory over Rhyl & Prestatyn. Ellie Sargent gave Met the lead just after the quarter hour, with Erin Murray and Emily Allen adding further goals ahead of the break. Chloe O'Connor made it four early in the second half and Murray soon netted her second, as did Allen. Robyn Pinder and Georgia Bridges both joined them on the scoresheet before Sargent rounded off the scoring in injury time. Four of the scheduled games did not take place, including second placed Swansea City whose meeting with Cyncoed Ladies was postponed. The Swans now have three games in hand on Cardiff Met. The only other match to survive the weather was at MBi Llandudno where the home side moved out of the bottom three by winning 4-3 against PILCS, who lost ground on the top three. PILCS in fact got off to a great start with Jassie Vasconcelos and Lyndsey Davies both scoring inside the opening nine minutes, giving them a two-goal which they held going into the break. However Jordanne Greenough reduced the arrears within a minute of the restart and Sofie Owen bagged a brace to put Llandudno in front for the first time on the hour mark. Alana Murphy levelled matters for PILCS once more but just two minutes later, Owen completed her hat-trick with a decisive fourth goal which handed Llandudno only their second league victory of the season.
