Crystal Palace are gearing up for their SSE Women's FA Cup Second Round tie against West Ham Utd, which is set to take place this week.
The tie was postponed on Sunday due to the bad weather but the Palace squad is in high spirits ahead of the game against the Hammers. "Training has gone very well and, for once, we have a fully fit squad to choose from, including a couple of new signings," Kirk Scott told Women's Soccer Scene.
"Although games have been postponed, the squad has trained twice a week to keep momentum going. This will be the first game of this season that we start as underdogs but we are in good shape as we go into a game against a Premier League side. Head coach, Dean Davenport, believes that the squad will be well prepared and we cannot until kick off on Sunday."
Palace captain Katy Morris (pictured) added: "This is the first game for us of 2016 and the girls are all ready to prove a point on Sunday. We want to show that if we get promotion this season, we are good enough to compete at Premier League level.
"We have continued to train over the Christmas period and will be prepared for Sunday."
The match takes place at Bromley FC with a 1pm kick off, with the winners being at home to either Nuneaton Town or Blackburn Rovers in the Third Round.
