With the Northern Division top of the table clash between Newcastle Utd and leaders Blackburn Rovers falling victim to the weather, Bradford City took the opportunity to narrow the gap on the top two when they won 4-0 away to Hull City. Rachel Lee and Zoe Roberts ensured that Bradford led by two goals inside the opening eight minutes and Ellie Olds wrapped up the win with a brace during the second half. Middlesbrough meanwhile claimed only their second win of the season, 6-2 against Stockport County. Lauren Farrow was on target twice along with Emily Scarr, Anna Birtwhistle, Katie Kinlan and Becky Hanratty while Nicole Lees and Elesha Armfield replied for the home side.
A win would have seen Cardiff City Ladies take over the leadership of the Midland Division but in the only game to be played on Sunday, they remain in second after battling out a goalless draw with fourth placed Leicester City Women.
All matches in the South Division were postponed on Sunday.
