Oxford United have competed the signing of Jess Frampton from Portsmouth Ladies.
With the new season now just a month away, United have been busy assembling a new look squad and the versatile Frampton fits the bill for Manager Les Taylor, who said: "Just like the men's first team, recruitment is key to improving your squad. When you look to recruit new players you need background information not only about the player's ability but also about the player's character and whether they are a team player.
"Jess Frampton is a player who has been on our radar for a number of months. She is the right type of player for us, a team player and a great trainer who sets good examples.
"Jess can play full back or as a wide midfield player. She has pace, good technical ability and is an athlete, and will be a great addition to the team."
Jess said: "I couldn't be happier or more excited to be playing in the WSL. It's been a long term goal for me and the fact I get to do it with Oxford United is a privilege. I couldn't have done it without the support and foundations from Portsmouth FC Ladies but I will now use this opportunity to develop my game and to progress as a player with Oxford United."
