Brighton & Hove Albion striker Kate Natkiel is looking forward to her side's SSE Women's FA Cup Third Round tie against Oxford Utd when the two teams clash on Sunday.
In one of the eye catching ties of the round, FAWPL Southern Division table toppers and promotion hopefuls Brighton play host to the WSL 2 side.
Speaking to Women's Soccer Scene, Kate feels that the match will provide a good gauge of the ambitious Seagulls' progress this season.
"I think it'll be a good test," said Kate. "I played against Oxford last year for my former club [Watford] and it was a tough game."
A close tie is anticipated, due to Brighton's excellent league form and Oxford playing their first competitive match for more than three months, and Kate insists that Albion will be well prepared for the tie.
"We had a friendly against a WSL club a couple of weeks ago and we showed that we can play at that level," she said. "I think we can match them and hopefully go on to win the game.
"It will be a good chance for us to play a team from a higher level so that hopefully we can match ourselves for next year, if we get there."
