Blackburn Rovers are still stretching the pace in the Northern Division, thanks to a 3-2 win away to Huddersfield Town. However they needed their full powers of recovery as Demi Wisher and an own goal had put Huddersfield two ahead at half time but after the break, Abby Bennett netted twice and Georgia Lambe the other to give Blackburn three valuable points. They still lead by six from Newcastle Utd who won at Middlesbrough with Siobhan Jones scoring the only goal of the game. Bradford City kept up their challenge by scoring nine times without reply against Hull City. Ellie Olds led the scoring with a hat-trick and there was one each from Danielle Whitham, Hannah Campbell, Charlotte Stuart, Laura Midgley, Shauna Legge and Joely Ruse.
In the South Division, Brighton & Hove Albion have stormed eight points clear with a 4-0 victory away to Crystal Palace. Kim Stenning netted twice for the Seagulls along with Megan Fox and Jade Widdows. Charlton Athletic closed in on second by scoring six without reply away to Chichester City. Darcy Wells hit a hat-trick with the Addicks' other goals coming from Audrey Wuichet, Charlotte Lee and an own goal. Elizabeth O'Callaghan and Sophie Phelps were the markswomen for fourth placed Portsmouth as they won 2-1 against West Ham Utd, who replied through Pauline Adeyemo.
Durham Women caused a surprise in the FA WSL Development League Cup quarter finals when they won 1-0 against Chelsea. Holly Wells grabbed the only goal of the game to take the Wildcats into the last four where they have been joined by fellow North East side Sunderland. The Lady Black Cats went through by virtue of winning a penalty shootout against Bristol Academy, after the teams had battled out a goalless draw.
