The FAW Women's Cup semi final draw has been made by Wales Women's Team Manager Jayne Ludlow and Welsh international Nadia Lawrence.
Cardiff City FC knocked WPWL leaders Cardiff Met Ladies out of the Cup last weekend, beating them 1-0 with Shannon Evans scoring the only goal of the game. Due to the weather, all other quarter final ties were postponed and played on Sunday.
MBi Llandudno made a long trip South and beat fellow WPWL club Cwmbran Celtic 2-1. The home side took the lead in the sixth minute with a goal from Lois Regan but strikes from Katy Bow and Katy Davies saw Llandudno secure their name in the last four.
An all-North Wales Women's League tie saw Denbigh Town take on Gap Northop Hall. Mari Edwards was the heroine for Denbigh as she bagged a hat-trick as her side beat their league rivals 3-0.
The other all-WPWL tie saw Port Talbot Town host local rivals and Cup holders Swansea City, who ran out 6-0 winners. An early goal from former Port Talbot player Courtney Thomas in the third minute set the Swans on their way, Sarah Adams giving them a 2-0 lead going into the break. Two second half strikes from Emma Beynon, a goal from Katy Hosford in the 83rd min and a second for Adams just before the final whistle rounded off the victory.
The semi final draw is as follows:
Cardiff City FC v Swansea City
Denbigh Town v MBi Llandudno
The matches will be played at neutral venues on Sunday 20th March 2016.
