Arsenal Ladies inspire Peterborough girls - 19 Feb 2016 - Women's Football NewsTwo Arsenal Ladies first team players were in Peterborough on Tuesday 16th February, inspiring 40 young budding female footballers. 
Vyan Sampson and Chloe Kelly both came through the Arsenal Ladies Centre of Excellence into the professional game and were in the city as part of a Girls Football Fun Day organised by ICA Sports FC.
Also in town was Arsenal Ladies Development Officer, Ciara Allan, who delivered a coaching session to the girls to give them an insight into how to Play The Arsenal Way. The girls also enjoyed a Refereeing session delivery by Rob Windle from Peterborough Referees Association and a team challenge delivered by ICA coaches Steve Purnell and Scott Duffy.
The Fun Day was one of the activities ICA Sports FC are delivering as part of their work as Peterborough's Arsenal Ladies Club Associate. If you would like to learn more about the work ICA Sports FC are doing in Peterborough, you can visit their website at www.icasports.com.
Ciara Allan commented: "ICA Sports FC have recently added female football to their offering and are doing a fantastic job.
"Having ICA Sports FC as our Club Associate for Peterborough gives us the opportunity to share our knowledge of the game and player development to help them provide the best possible support to the help players in Peterborough progress through their football careers.
"We are very excited about the programme and feel that ICA Sports FC is in the best position to have a positive impact on girls and women's football in Cambridgeshire."
Steve Purnell said: "We are proud to be the club chosen by Arsenal Ladies as a Club Associate in Peterborough and we are working hard to ensure we maximise opportunities for female players in the city."
