Cardiff City Ladies have a fine record in the Premier League Cup in recent seasons and they are through to the semi finals for the third season in a row after an excellent 4-2 win away to Stoke City.
Stoke got off to a great start by scoring twice in the opening ten minutes through Abby Hunt and Kate Asher but a brace from Laura Williams brought Cardiff level by the half hour. Kerry Bartlett gave the South Wales side the lead for the first time just before the break and Alys Hinchcliffe sealed the victory with the fourth goal in the dying minutes.
Blackburn Rovers also booked their place in the last four with a 4-1 victory over Sporting Club Albion. Rovers have been in superb form in Cup competitions this season and went into a two-goal lead through two Sophie Jones headers and although Trina Greaves reduced the arrears for Albion, Lynda Shepherd netted the third just before half time. Ella Toone wrapped up the win for Gemma Donnelly's side with the final goal late on.
Enfield Town became the last team to take their place in the Premier League Plate semi finals with a surprise 1-0 success at Loughborough Foxes. Captain Regan Coleman scored the only goal of the game to take the South East Division One side through to their first national semi final.
