Coventry Utd stepped up their Southern Division title challenge by running out 4-0 winners away to West Ham Utd.
All of Coventry's goals came in the first half, Helen Dermody netting twice inside the opening twenty minutes before Maz Gauntlett and Natasha Lynch joined them on the scoresheet just before the half hour mark.
Portsmouth meanwhile defeated Plymouth Argyle 6-0 to keep their hopes alive. Sarah Kempson led the scoring for Pompey with a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Ellie Bloomfield, Molly Clark and Natasha Stephens.
C & K Basildon are looking on course for a mid-table finish following their 1-0 success away to Forest Green Rovers, who stay in the bottom two. Amy Nash scored the only goal of the game during the first half.
Queen's Park Rangers staged a second half fightback to win 2-1 at Lewes and move above their opponents in the table. Lewes took the lead in the fourth minute through Emma Plewa but in the final quarter of the game, Danielle Puddefoot equalised from a free kick and Elly Maggs grabbed a last minute goal to give Rangers their fourth victory of the season.
