Sporting Club Albion manager Graham Abercrombie paid tribute to his side after their victory over Sheffield FC in the SSE Women's FA Cup Fourth Round.
"We are all over the moon with the performance and result today!" he told Women's Soccer Scene. "The squad depth is fantastic and the fight for a starting shirt is frightening. Results like this are the outcomes of all the players and the staff giving their all every single moment we are together at training and match days and preparing when we are apart.
"It's a great day for our club. We'll celebrate tonight but get our focus back tomorrow for the next batch of games that are coming our way in the next month."
Albion will now travel to Brighton & Hove Albion in a clash between the last two remaining FAWPL teams. "I'm happy just to be involved," smiled Graham. "I think the neutral and the FAWPL will love it as it guarantees a team from our league in the next round and probably Brighton will be happy too as we are the lowest placed team left in the competition but I think it's a shame.
"A shame because it does guarantee one team from FAWPL representing in the next round but it also guarantees that there won't be two representing. At our best we could have had a go at another WSL 2 team and I know for sure that Brighton definitely would too. We're just happy amongst it all at this stage!"
