Hull hopes hit by Chorley
 Women's Football News 9 Mar 2016
Northern Division One
The top two did not play on Sunday but Hull City received a setback to their challenge as they were beaten 1-0 by Chorley. Kerry Bergin scored the only goal of the game for Chorley who still have hopes of making a late run.
Blackpool Wren Rovers climbed up into fifth place, thanks to a 3-1 victory over Norton & Stockton Ancients. Robyn Hodkin gave Wren Rovers the lead and Nikki Berko added a further two goals, with Norton's consolation coming from Victoria Hutchinson.
Tranmere Rovers are off the bottom of the table following their 4-1 win against Leeds Ladies. Despite Bridie Hannon putting Leeds in front in the second minute, Charlotte Cloy and Kate Horne each netted twice to earn Tranmere their second league win of the season.
Midlands Division One
Runaway leaders Leicester City Women moved themselves three points closer towards the title with a 3-2 victory over second placed Radcliffe Olympic. Rania Ramadan and Dani Saulter were on target for Radcliffe who were 2-1 up with sixteen minutes remaining but a Helen Busby hat-trick saw Leicester to their seventeenth straight win. The result means that only Wolverhampton Wanderers can now mathematically overhaul Leicester.
Honours were even in the mid-table clash between Birmingham & West Midlands and Steel City Wanderers as they finished level at 1-1. Both goals came in the first half, Zoe Beresford giving the Steels the lead with Natasha Merritt equalising.
Rotherham Utd took a huge stride towards safety by winning 3-2 away to Sporting Khalsa. Bradie Wild netted a brace and Natalie Shaw the other for Rotherham, with the home side replying through Lyndsey Glover and an own goal.
South East Division One
Only one match managed to survive the weather on Sunday and it saw Gillingham keep up their title challenge by beating Denham Utd 5-1. All of the Gills' goals came during the second half, Paige Baker-Carroll scoring twice along with Jade Keogh, Kallie Balfour and Lydia Wills while Alissa Down replied for Denham.
South West Division One
Chichester City trimmed Larkhall Athletic's lead to five points but were held to a goalless draw by Exeter City, who remain in fifth place.
The other game saw Maidenhead Utd win 3-1 against Shanklin, whose consolation goal came from Katy Rawlinson.
