Celtic are the opening day leaders following the first round of matches in the Scottish Women's Premier League.
In the new look format, it was Celtic who recorded the biggest victory in SWPL 1 as a Suzanne Mulvey hat-trick and Kristin McGuire gave them a 4-0 success against Forfar Farmington.
Last season's runners-up Hibernian got off to an impressive start by beating Rangers 3-1. All of Hibs' goals came in the first half, Abigail Harrison giving them the lead and they added further strikes from Siobhan Hunter and Caroline Heron, before Chantelle Brown grabbed a consolation for Rangers.
Spartans meanwhile opened up with a 2-1 win against Aberdeen. Alana Marshall and Mariel Kaney put the Edinburgh side two goals ahead and although Shannon McGregor pulled one back for the Dons, Spartans held out to take the points.
Champions Glasgow City are the fourth team to have begun their season with a victory, 1-0 away to Stirling University. The only goal of the game came just after the half hour mark when Cheryl McCulloch scored.
In SWPL 2, it was a red letter day for Jeanfield Swifts as their debut in the league, at their new home of McDiarmid Park, ended in a 5-1 victory over Queen's Park. After Queen's Park had taken an early lead, Danni McGinley netted twice in quick succession to put Jeanfield ahead at half time and McGinley completed her hat-trick midway through the second half. McGinley rounded off a great day for herself by netting a fourth goal and Jade McDonald completed the scoring late on.
Hamilton Academical meanwhile won 5-3 away to Inverness City. Gill Inglis netted twice for the Accies along with MT McGuinness, Lori Gardner and Mhairi Lyle.
Hutchison Vale came home from Glasgow Girls with a 3-1 victory under their belts. Kate Sheppard, Hanson and McAvoy netted Hutchie's goals with Jennifer Tutton replying.
A closely contested game between Buchan Ladies and Hearts ended with the points shared and a 2-2 draw. Ashley Carse scored both goals for Hearts.
