Cardiff Met Ladies have gone fifteen points clear at the top of the Welsh Premier Women's League after winning 4-1 against Cwmbran Celtic.
With second placed Swansea City on FAW Women's Cup duty, Met were handed the chance to turn up the heat at the top but were given a scare when Chloe Chivers gave Cwmbran the lead on the half hour. Four minutes later, Chloe O'Connor brought Met back on terms and in the second half, Stacey Ayling put them in front for the first time, before Erin Murray wrapped up the win with two further strikes.
PILCS moved themselves to within two points of Swansea after beating Rhyl & Prestatyn 5-0. Jassie Vasconcelos, Caitlin Tew, Alana Murphy and Lyndsey Davies ensured that PILCS were four goals ahead at the break, before Murphy netted her second goal late on.
Aberystwyth Town and Cyncoed Ladies occupy the mid-table positions after sharing a 1-1 draw. Cyncoed led through a first half strike from Fern Burrage, with Emily Thomas earning Aber a point with an equalising goal just before the hour.
