Northern Division leaders Preston North End returned to winning ways with a 4-0 win away to Derby County.
Lagan Makin netted a goal in each half to set Preston on their way and they crowned the win with further goals from Natasha Flint and Nichol Forster.
Stoke City ensured that the gap remained at seven points by beating Nuneaton Town 3-0. Meg Bowyer, Faye McCoy and Millie Elson scored the goals but the win was marred for Stoke as 14-goal striker Laura Garside sustained a broken leg during the game. We wish her the very best for a speedy recovery.
Natasha Fenton and Saffron Jordan scored the goals as Blackburn Rovers maintained their own title hopes by winning 2-0 away to Huddersfield Town.
Bradford City made it five wins in a row in all competitions when they defeated Loughborough Foxes 2-0. Alarna Fuller headed them in front in the tenth minute and Sarah Danby kept up her good form in front of goal by adding the second.
Guiseley AFC Vixens meanwhile picked up a vital 6-1 victory away to Newcastle Utd which takes them out of the bottom two. Katie Anderton netted a further two goals and Keegan Lambert also contributed a brace, with Aimi Beresford and Bethan Smith also on the scoresheet.
