 Women's Football News 31 Mar 2016
Northern Division One
Hull City can no longer win the Northern Division One title but are still in the running for the runners-up spot and kept up those chances with a 3-1 win away to Norton & Stockton Ancients. Ellie Jackman, Tonya Storr and Katie Thompson netted the goals for Hull, with the home side's consolation coming from Anna Mawston.
Leeds Ladies climbed back above Mossley Hill into fifth place after beating them 1-0. Jasmine Saxton scored the only goal of the game for Leeds during the first half.
Katherine Jones led the scoring with a hat-trick as Stockport County ran out 8-2 winners over Blackpool Wren Rovers. Beth Langford added two for Stockport, who are now eight points above the bottom two, with one apiece from Hanifa Douglas, Chaneece Reeves and Hanna Wilson while Carly Loughran and Rachel Warren replied for Wren Rovers.
South East Division One
Crystal Palace extended their lead at the top to six points after scoring nine times without reply against Lowestoft Town. Gemma Bryan was on target five times for the leaders and she was joined on the scoresheet by Leanne Bell, Pam McRoberts, Nicha Pyelt and Roschelle Shakes.
Ipswich Town and fourth placed Luton Town meanwhile battled out a 2-2 draw. Roxanne Small netted both goals for Ipswich, while Luton replied through strikes from Natasha Fensome and Joanne Rutherford.
Enfield Town and Norwich City remain in mid-table after their meeting culminated in a goalless draw (see match report).
South West Division One
Swindon Town are two points off the leadership after they stepped up their title challenge with a 3-0 victory over Exeter City. Megan Attenborough, Ellie Maynard and Meg Vella netted the goals for the unbeaten Wiltshire side who have three games in hand on leaders Larkhall Athletic.
One other match managed to beat the weather, at Cheltenham Town where visitors Southampton Saints returned home with a 1-0 win under their belts. Krystal Whyte scored the only goal of the game, midway through the second half.
