Stoke step up title challenge
 Women's Football News 4 Apr 2016
Stoke City closed the gap on leaders Preston North End to five points, thanks to a 2-0 victory away to Nuneaton Town.
Both of Stoke's goals came in the first half, Kate Asher giving them the lead with Ashleigh Hayes adding the second.
Blackburn Rovers maintained their own title challenge by winning 1-0 at Guiseley AFC Vixens. Ella Toone scored the only goal of the game for Blackburn with twelve minutes remaining.
A late goal also benefitted Nottingham Forest as they beat Loughborough Foxes 1-0. Elizabeta Ejupi settled matters with the winning goal, seven minutes from time.
Huddersfield Town meanwhile banished any lingering relegation worries with an emphatic 7-2 success away to Newcastle Utd. Goal ace Emily Heckler once again had a fine day as she netted four times, being joined on the scoresheet by Katie Nutter, Kate Mallin and Rachel Ackroyd. Kate Brooks and Lindsey McCubbin replied for the home side.
