Leicester City Women are the Midland Division Champions after Stoke City were beaten 4-0 by Coventry Utd in their final match of the campaign. A victory would have seen Stoke overhaul Leicester at the top of the table but it was Coventry who emerged as winners and left Leicester in the amazing position of all three teams at the club winning their respective leagues this season.
Newcastle Utd opened up the Northern Division title race with a 2-0 victory over leaders Blackburn Rovers. Lauren Driver and an own goal gave victory to Newcastle who trail Blackburn by four points with two games remaining but the leaders have now completed their matches whilst third placed Bradford City are a further two points adrift, with three matches left to play.
Tottenham Hotspur kept themselves in the running for the South Division title when they defeated Queen's Park Rangers 6-0. Dionne Manning was on target four times and Emily Masters added the other two to leave Spurs in third place, vying with Brighton & Hove Albion to overhaul Portsmouth's points total. In the other game, a Siena White double and Ellen Pearce gave Southampton Saints a 3-0 victory over Chichester City.
In the FA WSL Development League, Sheffield FC moved up to third place in the Northern Division when a late fightback gave them a 3-2 win against Aston Villa. Natasha Baptiste had given Villa a two-goal lead during the first half and they remained in front until the last six minutes, when Ella Hartley, Kenedy Owen and Cara Fields all scored to turn the match around in Sheffield's favour.
Bristol Academy made up ground on the top four in the Southern Division when beating Oxford Utd 4-0. Gabriella Bird was on target twice along with Poppy Wilson and Chloe Shipway.
