Watford 1 (Stanley 90) Yeovil Town 2 (Wiltshire 16, Lawrence 78)
Yeovil Town got themselves off the mark in FA WSL 2 after a hard fought win against Watford.
Sarah Wiltshire gave Yeovil a 16th minute lead, as she eased through a couple of challenges before sending a shot across goal and in off the right hand post.
Mollie Burgess had to clear off the line when Ann Marie Heatherson's scuffed effort took a deflection off Sahara Osborne-Ricketts, who returned to Watford early in the week after a spell at Oxford United.
In the second period Watford enjoyed the majority of possession, but still struggled to break down the visiting defence. Chontele Lawrence went closest for them as she forced a save from Charlotte Haynes in the 73rd minute before her header, following an Anneka Nuttall free kick, hit the bar.
The Glovers made sure of the win moments later when Wiltshire made it to the goal line with her cut back pass going to Nadia Lawrence who fired in with twelve minutes left.
Consolation was achieved by Watford in the second minute of injury time as Katie Stanley latched onto a long diagonal ball and left Haynes no chance with her effort to record her first goal for the club.
