Newcastle Utd beat one of their main rivals in the Northern Division for the second week in a row and a win in their final game will see them clinch the title. Beth Diamond, Siobhan Jones, Lauren Robson and Billie-Jo Thompson were all on target as Newcastle won 4-1 against Bradford City, whose own chances may be at an end. Elsewhere, Hull City ended their campaign by beating Stockport County 7-3. Amy Knott led the scoring for Hull with a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Emma Johnson, Christinia Pitsklou, Peyton Shaw and Neave Spriggs.
In the South Division, Tottenham Hotspur went top of the table for the first time this season when a solitary strike from Emily Masters gave them victory against Lewes.
Sunderland have gone clear in the FA WSL Development League Northern Division and their 1-0 success away to Durham Women means they require one point from two matches to be confirmed as title winners. Only Sheffield FC can still catch their points total and they kept their hopes alive when a Katie Anderson brace and Sarah Jackson gave them a 3-0 victory over Everton. Manchester City still occupy second place following their 2-2 draw with Notts County. Lowri Walker and Nicola Potts were on target as Aston Villa won 2-1 away to Doncaster Rovers Belles.
The top two in the Southern Division were not in action and, despite strikes from Zoe Cross and Alessia Russo plus an own goal, Chelsea were unable to replace them as they were held to a 3-3 draw by London Bees. Fourth placed Millwall Lionesses defeated Watford 4-1 whilst a goal from Gabriella Bird earned Bristol Academy a 1-0 success against Yeovil Town.
