Glasgow City will play Hibernian in the Scottish Women's Premier League Cup Final on 15th June after both sides came through their semi finals on Sunday.
Hibernian took on Rangers in the first match of the double header and they took a first half lead through Abigail Harrison. After the break, Harrison doubled their lead with her second goal and Lizzie Arnot added a third. Chantelle Brown gave Rangers hope when she pulled a goal back but Sarah Ewens wrapped up the win for Hibs by scoring the final goal.
Glasgow City reached their tenth successive domestic final following a 1-0 win over Aberdeen in the second semi final.
The narrow scoreline perhaps doesn't fully reflect City's dominance of the game which saw the reigning Champions have the majority of possession and virtually all of the chances. Much credit has to go to the Dons who defended well and had goalkeeper Becky Flaherty to thank for keeping them in the game for long spells.
Cruelly it was a Flaherty error which in the end gave City the advantage as Clare Shine closed down her clearance before composing herself and firing past the Aberdeen and Scotland Under-19 keeper.
