Notts County 0 Birmingham City 1 (Westwood 69)
Captain Emily Westwood scored the only goal of the game as Birmingham City moved into fourth place in the WSL 1 table with a hard earned victory away to Notts County.
However the Blues had to withstand first half pressure from the home side, Sophie Bradley-Auckland narrowly missed the target with a header early on. Sophie Baggaley was in great form in goal for Birmingham and she saved twice in quick succession from Jess Clarke and Ellen White, before Angharad James' 30-yarder was also saved well by Baggaley.
Birmingham found their feet in the second period and Jo Potter's drive went agonisingly wide of the post, before Westwood headed the ball over Carly Telford for the winner just after the midway point of the half.
