Aston Villa 0 Everton 2 (Hinnigan 8, Stewart 47)
Everton moved to the top of FA WSL 2 on goal difference after a goal in each half saw them to victory at Sutton Coldfield.
It was an impressive display from the Toffees, who opened the scoring after just nine minutes through skipper Michelle Hinnigan before Ellie Stewart doubled the lead in the early stages of the second half.
The Toffees began the game on top and opened the scoring inside ten minutes through Hinnigan, who pounced on a loose clearance to drive a shot from the edge of the area past Jess Myers.
Everton continued to create chances, with leading scorer Simone Magill's shot narrowly wide of Myers' goal, with the Villa goalkeeper well beaten.Spence's side had a chance to extend their lead with Danielle Turner firing over the bar from inside the area, as Andy Spence's side controlled the first half.
Everton extended their lead within two minutes of the restart as defender Stewart was on hand to rifle home a second after Villa failed to clear a corner.
It could have been three just moments later when Magill's header came back off the bar. Spence's side continued to dominate the game to secure a 2-0 win and go to the top of the table.
