Tranmere Rovers will be playing Premier League football again next season following a 6-2 win against Chester-le-Street which sealed their place in Northern Division One.
Tranmere went into the match needing to avoid defeat for survival at the expense of Stockport County and a four-goal blast from Rachel Rigby, plus one apiece from Anna Stones and Ceri Holder, ensured they will finish outside of the bottom two.
Blackburn Rovers claimed themselves a third place finish in the Northern Division, thanks to a 2-1 victory over Newcastle Utd. Two first half goals from Leah Foster gave Rovers the result they needed, with Newcastle's consolation coming from Sophie Williams.
Ipswich Town will finish in fifth in South East Division One after notching up one of their best results of the season, a 3-0 win away to third placed Milton Keynes Dons. Zoe Cossey, Aimee Harrison and Natasha Thomas all scored a goal apiece.
To complete a good day for the East Anglian sides, Norwich City ran out 5-1 winners over Old Actonians. Chelsea Garrett netted twice for the Canaries along with Kate Parsons, Ellen Swift and Natasha Snelling, with Actonians' consolation coming from Chelsea Berlin.
