Glasgow City made it nine wins on the trot at the top of SWPL 1 when they won 3-2 away to third placed Celtic.
Fiona Brown gave City the lead with Ruesha Littlejohn adding a second before half time. Chloe Craig pulled one back for Celtic early in the second half, before Joanne Love restored the two-goal advantage for the league leaders. Kelly Clark gave Celtic hope with fourteen minutes remaining but City closed the game out to keep up the pace at the top of the table.
Hibernian maintained the gap in second place after scoring eight times without reply past Aberdeen. Sarah Ewens and Lizzie Arnot both netted doubles for Hibs and there was one apiece from Lucy Graham, Cailin Michie, Emma Brownlie and Rachel McLauchlan.
Spartans picked up their first away win of the season, a 3-0 success away to Forfar Farmington. Laura Gavin gave them the lead after two minutes and Alana Marshall put them further ahead before the break, with Christie Kerr adding the third midway through the second half.
Stirling University gave themselves hope of climbing off the bottom by beating Rangers 1-0. The only goal of the game came with two minutes remaining when Emma Lyons scored from close range.
Hamilton Academical kept hold of the leadership of SWPL 2 with a 3-2 victory away to Jeanfield Swifts. Lauren Gallen gave the Accies an early lead and Gillian Inglis added a second from the penalty spot, before Jeanfield fought back to level the scores through Nicola Martin and Danni McGinley. Inglis then netted a second penalty on the hour mark to put Hamilton back in front and they held out for a hard earned win which moves them one point clear at the top.
Hearts moved up into second place after running out 10-1 winners over Inverness City. Ashley Carse led the scoring with a hat-trick, Michelle Stewart and Brogan Anderson each weighed in with a brace and there was one apiece from Rachel Walkingshaw, Gemma Mason and Jamie-Lee Smith.
Buchan Ladies and Hutchison Vale battled out a 3-3 draw which leaves both teams placed just behind the leading sides. Sophie Anderson (2) and Leanne Reid were on target for Buchan, with Hutchie replying through a Karen Hanson double and Ellis Jenkins.
