AFC Boscombe captured the Hampshire County Women's League Division One title by the slenderest of margins, on goal difference from Warsash Wasps.
This is the second season for the team in the Division One, finishing as runners-up last season and going one better this year. The team did the double and also won the Invitation Cup.
AFC Boscombe are captained by Nicole Power, who has been at the club since she was 12 years old. She scored some important goals during the course of the season and won the team's Players' Player of the Year award. Top goalscorer was 17-year-old Katie Norman.
Manager Lou Fern told Women's Soccer Scene: "The 3-1 win over Warsash, our main rivals, with two cracking goals from our captain, was one of our most notable results of the season.
"Also, our 3-2 win over Alton in the Cup Final and our last game of the season against Rushmoor, where the team knew before kick off that they had to win by four goals. There was a lot of pressure on the team, especially after going one down in the first half but a proper gutsy performance in the second half secured the 5-1 victory with three minutes to go, with another two goals from our captain.
"I am the coach/manager and have been with the team since Under-11s, that's eleven years and counting!"
