County pick up important win
 Women's Football News 27 Jun 2016

Notts County 2 (Williams 15, White 65) Doncaster Rovers Belles 1 (Sigsworth 23)
A second half goal from Ellen White gave Notts County three important points to take them into mid-table and ensure that Emma Coates' first match in charge of Doncaster Rovers Belles ended in defeat.

In an eventful opening half, the Belles showed great attacking promise, looking much improved so soon into Coates' reign but it was Notts who struck first through Rachel Williams, the striker swivelling with ease to fire past Nicola Hobbs to score against her former club.

The Belles fought back and put real pressure on Notts, Katrin Omarsdottir was constantly an outlet and her pull back found the deadly Jess Sigsworth who made no mistake in finding the bottom corner.

Goalkeeper Carly Telford picked up an injury on the stroke of half time, a collision in the air prompted an awkward landing and she was stretchered off with her left leg in a brace during the break.

It did not affect Notts though, in a less eventful second period Amy Turner's long ball forward caused confusion and allowed White to seal the win with a lobbed finish.
