Ross goal maintains record
 Women's Football News 27 Jun 2016
Manchester City 1 (Ross 65) Liverpool 1 (White 4)
Manchester City produced a second half fightback to preserve their unbeaten record after Rosie White had become the first player to score past the league leaders this season.
White silenced the home crowd early on when she skipped past two defenders to score and bring an end to City's superb run of seven clean sheets. Caroline Weir came close to doubling her side's advantage before the break but her curling effort came back off the bar.
City improved after the break and their pressure was rewarded when leading scorer Jane Ross tapped home from close range, from Nikita Parris' driven cross.
Siobhan Chamberlain then prevented Jill Scott's header from going in before Karen Bardsley denied Niamh Charles at the other end and Chamberlain also thwarted Ross late on in a lively finish.
Manchester City: Karen Bardsley, Lucy Bronze, Steph Houghton, Abbie McManus (sub Megan Campbell 88mins), Demi Stokes, Jennifer Beattie, Jill Scott, Kosovare Asllani, Daphne Corboz (sub Nikita Parris 45mins), Jane Ross, Toni Duggan (sub Tessel Middag 61mins). Subs not used: Marie Hourihan, Georgia Stanway, Ella Toone, Izzy Christiansen.
