Sheffield reach quarter finals
 Women's Football News 2 Jul 2016
Sheffield FC 2 (Michalska 59, Flanagan 82) Bristol City 0
Sheffield FC marched into the last eight of the Continental Tyres Cup at the first attempt as they kept up their good record against Bristol City this season.
Second half goals from strikers Jodie Michalska and Chelsea Flanagan were enough to send the hosts through to the quarter finals.
After the first half had ended goalless, Michalska smashed the ball past Hannah Reid at the near post to give her side the lead after good work from Emma Johnson to open the scoring, and despite Reid denying Sheffield with a string of excellent saves after the break, substitute Flanagan headed home Johnson's corner with less than ten minutes remaining to seal the win.
Vixens striker Millie Farrow had the best of their chances, shooting wide in the first half before seeing an effort disallowed early on after the break.
