Belles break their duck
 Women's Football News 4 Jul 2016
Doncaster Rovers Belles 2 (Little 21, Cresswell 82) Sunderland 1 (Ramshaw 62)
Doncaster Rovers Belles are through to the quarter finals of the Continental Tyres Cup after picking up their first victory of the season in all competitions.
Goals either side of the break from captain Leandra Little and Lauren Cresswell gave Emma Coates her first win as Belles manager, and handed the Belles a big boost ahead of their FA WSL 1 clash with the Black Cats at the Hetton Centre next week.
Keira Ramshaw managed to turn the ball home just after the hour mark to equalise after Rachel Furness had been frustrated by Belles keeper Nicola Hobbs, but after Cresswell struck with seven minutes remaining, with her first goal since returning to the club, there was no way back for Sunderland.
Doncaster Rovers Belles: Nicola Hobbs, Rachel Newborough (sub Mayumi Pacheco 73mins), Rhiannon Roberts, Leandra Little, Sophie Barker, Kasia Lipka (sub Sam Tierney 78mins), Emily Simpkins, Lauren Cresswell, Katrin Omarsdottir, Jess Sigsworth, Carla Humphrey (sub Yasmin Mosby 90mins). Subs not used: Anna Moorhouse, Sue Smith.

Sunderland: Hilde Olsen, Abby Holmes, Hayley Sharp, Danielle Brown, Victoria Williams, Keira Ramshaw, Rachel Furness, Brooke Chaplen, Madelaine Hill, Lucy Staniforth, Abbey Joice (sub Stephanie Roche 61mins). Subs not used: Rachael Laws, Steph Bannon, Kelly McDougall, Beth Mead, Charlotte Potts.
