Leicester City Women are pleased to announce the signings of goalkeeper Vanessa Kinnerley from Nottingham Forest and Shauna Cossens from Yeovil Town. Vanessa made 32 starts for Nottingham Forest last season, missing just one game all season and keeping fifteen clean sheets. She told the club's website: I decided to join Leicester Women this season to seek a new challenge with a new club. Leicester have made me feel welcome right from the off and it's like one big family where everyone gets along. "The training definitely puts me through my limits and challenges me to succeed in being a better goalkeeper. For the upcoming season within the Women's Premier League I'm sure we will be fighting to prove our place that we rightly deserve in that league. We are Leicester City Women and proud to be! Come on you foxes!" Manager Jonathan Morgan was delighted with the double capture for the Northern Division newcomers: "Bringing in Nessa from Forest is a great coup for us and it shows our ongoing ambition and progression at the club. We are thrilled to have her at Leicester Women and she will bring invaluable experience and quality to the first team setup. "Bringing Shauna to the club is a strong signing for Leicester. We believe she will bring a lot of experience and improve our squad significantly. From the moment we first started talking to Shauna, the club knew instantly she would be a great fit." | ||||||||||||||
