Liverpool up to third

Liverpool 2 (Harding 18, Coombs 25) Reading FC Women 0
Liverpool moved up into third place in the FA WSL 1 table after they beat Reading FC Women thanks to first half goals from Natasha Harding and Laura Coombs.
Despite Emma Follis hitting the post for the Royals early on, the home side were dominant and Natasha Harding cut in off the right wing to latch onto Coombs' flick and open the scoring on 18 minutes.
Coombs herself doubled their advantage as she struck home on the half volley from Caroline Weir's perfect pass seven minutes later.
Reading pressed after the break with Siobhan Chamberlain being called into action in the Liverpool goal to tip substitute Amber Stobbs' shot onto the post but the hosts were well worth their three points.
Liverpool: Siobhan Chamberlain, Satara Murray, Gemma Bonner, Sophie Ingle, Alex Greenwood, Kate Longhurst, Laura Coombs, Rosie White (sub Katie Zelem 71mins), Shanice Van De Sanden (sub Ashley Hodson 86mins), Natasha Harding (sub Niamh Charles 82mins), Caroline Weir. Subs not used: Danielle Gibbons, Martha Harris, Mandy Van Den Berg, Mollie Green.
