Eastern Region League Bedford Ladies repeated their opening day goal haul when they won 7-2 away to Royston Town. Natasha Fensome and Kaiya Glynn both netted braces and Christie Turner was also on the scoresheet. Jessica Appeagyei hit a hat-trick and Julia Carruthers added the other two as Haringey Borough defeated Brentwood Town 5-1 and Acle Utd are the other team with two victories from their opening games; they beat AFC Sudbury thanks to braces from Rebecca Burton and Jody Wells. Colchester Town opened up their season by winning 2-1 at Great Wakering, Nancy Butler and Miagh Downey scoring, whilst goals from Amber Pearson and Stephanie Chandler gave AFC Dunstable their first victory of the season, 2-1 against newly promoted Writtle. Billericay Town bounced back from an opening defeat to win 3-2 away to Histon, Paris Smith netting twice along with Charlotte Hopwood. Six different players got on the scoresheet in Division One when Wymondham Town ran out 7-0 winners over Colney Heath. Alice Collins netted twice and also on target were Amber Cantwell, Brooklyn Cheal-Ferris, Kayleigh Holloway, Summer Moore and Gemma Sanders. Cambridge City meanwhile defeated Hertford Town 5-0 with goals from Carla Penny (2), Grace Stanley (2) and Sarah Mosley. Rianne Townsend-Brown bagged a brace and Charlotte Poynter added the other for Offley & Stopsley as they battled out a 3-3 draw with Hutton. London & South East League London Corinthians keep hold of the early leadership of the table after scoring six times without reply against Aylesford. Katherine Long and Laura Susarta each scored twice and there was one apiece from Alex Fagan and Alicia Gibbs. Leyton Orient meanwhile went one better by winning 7-0 against Watford Development, spearheaded by a hat-trick from Sophie Le Marchand. Hayley Barton (2), Belen Ripoli Douton and Naomi Stirling added the other goals for the O's. Lauren Callaghan netted two and Suzanne Davies added the other for Crawley Wasps as they also notched up their second win, 3-2 over Carshalton Athletic. In the other game, Herne Bay and Eastbourne Town each registered their first point of the season when sharing a goalless draw. North East League For the second week running, Farsley Celtic eliminated a Premier Division side from the League Cup when they defeated East Yorkshire Carnegie 6-3. Olivia Auker and Clare Parker netted two goals apiece and they were joined on target by Kurbi Wright and Dee Swales. Barnsley came through a tough tie at Oughtibridge with a 6-3 victory. Ellie Hamilton scored for Norton & Stockton Ancients as they shared a 1-1 draw with York City on penalties before progressing 4-1 from the penalty spot. There was better news for York City Res as they edged out Hartlepool Utd 4-3 thanks to goals from Samantha Terry (2), Gemma Croft and Lindsay Jordan. Sheffield Wednesday also made it through to the quarter finals after Stacey Buxton, Emily Higgins, Kathryn Mudge and Emma Otley all scored to give them a 4-1 success away to Doncaster Belles (Women's). | ||||||||||||||
