Tottenham and C & K join Charlton
 Women's Football News 13 Sep 2016
Although they did not have a game on Sunday, Charlton Athletic remain on top of the early table and have been joined on six points by two other teams.
Tottenham Hotspur occupy second place after bringing Crystal Palace's long unbeaten run to an end. A solitary strike from Bianca Baptiste gave Spurs a narrow 1-0 win to maintain their promising start.
C & K Basildon meanwhile defeated Queen's Park Rangers 4-0 to complete the top three. Sara Sinclair led the scoring by hitting a hat-trick and Hannah Porter added the other goal.
Cardiff City Ladies and Lewes met for the second time in three weeks and in contrast to the 1-1 draw they shared first time out, Cardiff ran out 6-0 winners on this occasion. Kerry Bartlett, Abbie Britton, Chloe Chivers, Chloe Lloyd, Cori Williams and Bethan Lloyd were all on the scoresheet as Cardiff inflicted a first defeat of the season on the Rookettes.
Coventry Utd also remain unbeaten after they won 1-0 against West Ham Utd, who are still seeking their first points. Helen Dermody settled matters with the only goal of the game just after the hour mark.
It was a red letter day for Swindon Town as they registered their first victory following promotion, edging out Portsmouth in a seven-goal thriller. Chyna Collings netted two of the goals for Swindon along with Abby Picton and Alison Witts, with Charlotte Benson, Gemma Hillier and Samantha Quayle all replying for Portsmouth.
