Northern Division leaders Fylde Ladies were held to an entertaining 3-3 draw by Stoke City.
Abbie Iddenen gave Stoke an early lead which was cancelled out by Natasha Flint and then Yasmine Swarbrick put Fylde in front, before Hannah Keryakoplis levelled things once more via a free kick. Flint then looked to have given the Coasters the points when she scored with a spectacular 35-yard strike but Stoke battled back again and earned themselves a share of the spoils when Keryakoplis scored her second from the penalty spot.
Blackburn Rovers have gone level on points with Fylde following their 1-0 win away to Newcastle Utd. Saffron Jordan kept up her good start to the season as she netted the only goal of the game just before the hour mark. Fylde and Blackburn are set to meet in a top of the table clash on Tuesday night.
Derby County meanwhile defeated Bradford City 3-1 and are just a single point behind the top two. All of Derby's goals came during the first half, Lauren Nicholls, Samantha Griffiths and Melissa Johnson all finding the net before Hannah Campbell grabbed a consolation for Bradford after the break.
Huddersfield Town started the day at the foot of the table but leapt up three places with a fine 5-2 success away to Nottingham Forest. The home side led at the break when Andi Bell scored in first half injury time but the second half belonged to Town and Kate Mallin in particular as she netted four times. Emily Heckler added the other goal for Huddersfield, with Forest's second coming from Annabel McKechnie.
