Abergavenny maintain advantage
 Women's Football News 2 Nov 2016
Abergavenny Women returned to action in the Welsh Premier Women's League with a 3-0 victory away to Port Talbot Town.
After a goalless first half, Laura Davies broke the deadlock within five minutes of the restart and Lyndsey Davies added a further two goals to seal the victory which maintains their lead of two points at the top of the table.
Swansea City stay in second place following their 4-3 win against Cardiff City FC, who are still fourth. Shannon Evans earned Cardiff an early lead which was cancelled out midway through the first half by Jodie Passmore. Jenny Buckley put Cardiff back in front early in the second half but two goals in a four minute spell by Passmore, one from the penalty spot, completed her hat-trick and put the Swans ahead for the first time. Stacey John then scored what turned out to be the decisive goal for Swansea, despite Evans pulling one back late on.
Llandudno moved into the top half of the table with a 3-2 victory over Rhyl Ladies. Rebecca Bannister gave Rhyl a fifteenth minute lead with Stacey Tradewell levelling the scores ten minutes later. Katie Bowe put Llandudno in front in the opening minute of the second half and she went on to wrap up the win with her second goal in the dying minutes, Laura Williams netting a consolation for Rhyl in injury time.
Briton Ferry Llansawel recorded their second point of the season when sharing a 2-2 draw with Cyncoed Ladies. Alice Griffiths and Chloe Griffiths twice gave Cyncoed the lead with Briton Ferry battling back on each occasion to equalise through Lucy Powell and Claudia Meyrick.
