Abergavenny Women have a very good record in the Welsh Premier Women's League Cup in recent seasons and they are through to the quarter finals this time around after running out 5-0 winners over Rhyl Ladies.
Lyndsey Davies once more led the scoring with a hat-trick and also on target for the league leaders were Amy Thrupp and Alana Murphy.
Cardiff Met Ladies were the other winners in the cup on Sunday, beating Cyncoed Ladies 4-1. Chloe O'Connor netted two of the goals for Met and there was one apiece from Georgia Malpas and Robyn Pinder.
One match was played in the league on Sunday, Cardiff City FC moving back into third place with a 6-1 victory over Llandudno. Sophie Owen did give Llandudno a great start by opening the scoring in the first minute but City hit back with goals from Alicia Davies (penalty) and Shannon Evans in quick succession, before Evans netted her second ahead of half time. After the restart, Evans completed her hat-trick before Kirsty O'Donnell and Montana May went on to crown the win with further goals late on.
