Chesham United v Regents Park Rangers
 Women's Football News 13 Nov 2016
SSE Women's FA Cup - Road to the Final
Tasha Smith and Emma Delves netted the goals as Chesham United continued their cup run and advanced into the Fourth Round Qualifying with a 2-1 win against London Corinthians. The Clarets' next opponents will be Regents Park Rangers, who claimed a fine 3-2 victory away to Royston Town with Natilia Mann netting a brace and Fiona Carter also on target.
Regents Park Rangers was born in 2004 after a group of friends wanted to learn to play football. They turned to a friend and asked for his help to train and teach them the game. His name was Vijay Beekarry and over ten years later, Vijay is still the main man of the club, managing and coaching the Ladies.
Within those years, highlights have been bringing RPR up from the bottom division to the top in the Greater London League and maintaining this for the past three seasons, winning the double in 2011, progressing to the FA Cup second round, though the club will now be setting a new achievement in the club by progressing to the Fourth round of the FA Cup this season. The club was awarded the FA Charter Standard in 2009.
2008 was the key year when, with the help of Julie Syer, the club set up a fully affiliated eleven-a-side club playing in the GLWFL.
Over the years the club has always been filled with such passion, energy and commitment and that's just to start with from the ladies, it's a full fun mix of young and old from students to mums. The main core of the team is the respect that we have for each other in the club on and off the pitch along with the passion, energy and commitment and drive each and every Sunday come rain or shine.
Vijay Beekarry is assisted by Daniel Atite and Bobby, Nicola Rose is captain and the team is sponsored by Magic Foods Ltd. The club is extremely excited about this Sunday's FA Cup fixture as not only is it a game, but it is also about enjoying the day and believing that their adventure in the SSE Women's FA Cup could and hopefully will continue for the Rangers!
