Fylde Ladies are a single point clear at the top of the Northern Division after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bradford City, who scored through Hannah Campbell. Newcastle Utd moved up to second place by beating Brighouse Town 5-0, Lauren Robson bagging a hat-trick along with Elizabeth Fraser and Siobhan Jones. Georgia Stevens and Ria Maire Montgomery each netted twice, with Charlotte Healey and Kerry Hope also on target, as Blackburn Rovers won 6-0 away to Hull City and goals from Jasmine Pearson and Lauren Farrow gave Middlesbrough a 2-1 victory at Guiseley Vixens.
 
In the Southern Division, Tottenham Hotspur opened up a huge nine point lead when Shona Samuriwo scored the only goal of the game against Lewes. Charlton Athletic battled out a goalless draw with C & K Basildon but this point was enough to take them up to second place whilst Portsmouth were beaten for the first time, 2-1 by West Ham Utd for whom Megan Waters and Eva Carvalho were on target. Chelsea Coles, Joanna Blodgett and an own goal ensured that Queen's Park Rangers won 3-1 at Southampton Saints and Denham Utd defeated Milton Keynes Dons 4-1 thanks to Elishia Allen (2), Rachel Blackburn and Rebecca Scott.
 
FA WSL Development League Cup holders Arsenal booked their place in the quarter finals this time around by winning 5-3 against Brighton & Hove Albion. Rianna Dean was on target twice for the Gunners along with Lotte Wubben-Moy, Laura Hooper and Taylor Hinds. Sheffield FC, beaten finalists last season, have exited at the First Round stage this around after they were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City whose goals came from Kaylea Cunliffe and Keeley-Shaye Goodwin. Liverpool were 3-1 winners over Notts County whilst a Beth Mead hat-trick and Niamh McLaughlin double saw Sunderland to a 5-2 victory against Birmingham City. Nicola Potts was another hat-trick scorer, for Aston Villa as they defeated Doncaster Rovers Belles 6-2. Zoe Clarke, Kamariah Scott and Mollie Rouse added the other goals for Villa. Bristol City edged past London Bees with a 3-2 victory, courtesy of a Gabriella Bird hat-trick, and Reading FC Women were 2-0 winners over Yeovil Town. Oxford Utd complete the quarter final line up after Riva Casley and Evie Gane gave them a 2-0 success away to Watford.
